Sintering Engineering

Sintering is the main key technique of CIE. Through many years research, development and practices on projects and construction, the CIE has set up the innovation system on continue-perfecting of sintering technique, and the sintering technique has been keeping preponderant position in or abroad.

CIE is the only company in China that has outstanding achievements on sintering with different design scale from 24~500m2. The occupation ratio of sintering engineering with an area more than 300m2 in domestic market is above 80%, and the amounts is the first in the world. CIE is the first design institute in metallurgy industry to undertake and complete the EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) project of sintering engineering with large scale (two 360m2 sintering projects of Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation). This produces the positive influence in the metallurgy industry and wins the broad praises.

Nowadays, following the development of internationalization operation, CIE has undertaken many foreign sintering projects, and the sintering equipments have been exporting to foreign countries gradually.

List of Main Sintering Projects:

From the end of 1970s, CIE has been supplying service to Baosteel Group for sintering engineering, and has undertaken design for 1st, 2nd and 3rd stage sintering project of Baosteel Group (the techniques and equipment for 1st stage project have been brought in from foreign countries), and design for technical and capacity-enlargement reconstruction in these years. The sintering machines in 1st, 2nd and 3rd stage sintering project of Baosteel Group are all 450m2, and this is the maximum area for single sintering machine in our country. These machines have been put into use respectively in 1985, 1991 and 1998. Through the three-year capacity-enlargement reconstruction, the area of three sintering machines mentioned above has been nearly 500m2, the production capacity, quality and benefit of them have been improve, and the Employer song high praises on them.

 

Excellent achievements in the construction of Baosteel Project by CIE:

1st stage project of Baosteel Group designed by CIE has won Golden Design Prize on National Excellent Projects;

2nd stage project of Baosteel Group designed by CIE has won top grade Design Prize on Optimum Project; 

2nd stage sintering project of Baosteel has won Grade One Design Prize on Excellent Project of Ministry of Metallurgy, and this project, blast furnace and cokemaking project have won the Golden Design Prize on National Excellent Projects together;

2nd stage sintering project of Baosteel has won the Silver Design Prize on National Excellent Projects and Grade One Prize of Ministry of Metallurgy;

The modification of No. 1 sintering machine of Baosteel has won Silver Design Prize on National Excellent Projects and Grade One Prize on Excellent Project Design of Ministry of Metallurgy;

The technical reconstruction for No. 2 sintering machine of Baosteel Group has won Grade Two Prize on Excellent Project Design of Ministry of Metallurgy;

Reconstruction for bead in Sintering Plant of Baosteel Group has won Grade Two Prize on Excellent Project Design of Ministry of Metallurgy;

Capacity-enlargement reconstruction in No. 3 sintering machine of Baosteel Group has won Grade Two Prize on Excellent Project Design of Ministry of Metallurgy;

200m steel chimney for sintering of Baosteel Group has won Excellent Project Design Prize of Ministry of Metallurgy and Grade Two Prize on Architecture Structure Design of Architectural Society of China .

Photo6: Full Look of 2¡Á328m2 EPC Sintering Project of West Zone of Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation.Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation has built two 328m2 assembly lines for sintering at west zone to meet the demands of production development. These two assembly lines have been contracted by CIE, and put into use respectively in Oct. and Nov. 2005.  

Photo 7: Exterior Look of Main Sintering Workshops .360m2 EPC sintering project of Shaoguan Steel has been completed and put into use in Feb. 2005, and this project has won EPC Prize on Excellent Project of Ministry of Metallurgy.


Photo 8: The 360m2 EPC sintering project of Dong¡¯anshan Sintering Plant of Anshan Iron and Steel Group Corporation has been the 1st large-scale sintering project of CIE that is undertaken by the way of EPC, and has also been the maximum EPC metallurgy construction project undertaken by design institute in the metallurgy in that year. This project was completed and put into use in Oct. 2001, and has won 1st Session EPC Silver Key Prize on National Excellent Project in 2002.


Photo 9: 198m2 EPC Sintering Project of Xinyu Iron and Steel Co. Ltd. has been completed and put into use in Aug. 2004, and this project has won EPC Prize on Excellent Project of Ministry of Metallurgy.

Photo 10:184m2 EPC sintering project of Lianyuan Steel has been completed and put into use in Oct. 2003, and this project has won EPC Silver Key Prize on National Excellent Project, EPC Prize on Excellent Project of Ministry of Metallurgy, Excellent Project Prize, ¡°Grade Two Prize for Excellent Achievements of Engineering Project Management¡± by Architectural Society of China. 

Photo 11:143m2 EPC sintering project of Nanchang Steel Co. Ltd. has been completed and put into use in May 2004, and this project has won EPC Prize on Excellent Project of Ministry of Metallurgy.
